Addison’s Ball was created in honor of one-year-old Addison Birney to raise awareness and funding for the number one birth defect in children, Congenital Heart Disease. Addison was diagnosed with Double Outlet Right Ventricle with a Ventricular Septal Defect when she was three days old. Since that time she has been to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) four times for four different procedures. Her journey is not over, but her amazing courage and spirit has lifted the lives that she has touched in ways that are unimaginable. Addison’s success can be accredited to the amazing staff at the number one ranked children’s cardiac hospital in the country, CHOP. We want to help them make advances to give the hope to other children as they did Addison and her family.
